The company was initially incorporated in 1985 as ATHANASIOS MOSCHOS & Co Unlimited. In 1993 it was converted into a Public Limited Company (SA) under the name Metal Technical Komotini SA and has been operating under the trade name METEKO SA ever since.

With an annual capacity of 9,000 tons, the company is a top performer of steel construction services. These services include:

  • the fabrication of steel buildings for various uses (industrial, storage, refinery).
  • the fabrication of steel mechanical installations, such as gantry cranes, silos, hoppers or conveyors.
  • the fabrication of special steel constructions, such as formwork for prefabricated girders and slabs, metallic forward parts for the construction of bridges, etc.

The plant is located in Thrilorio, Komotini covering 17,000 m2 within a total area of 55,000 m2 and currently employs 50 people.

Services

Structural Studies

Using state-of-the-art technology software like INSTANT and ROBOT, METEKO SA provides structural design services through tailor-made studies and offers low-cost solutions such as variable cross-sections.

Implementation Studies

In an attempt to develop an automated production line through CNC machines, METEKO SA makes use of STRUCAD, TEKLA and AUTOCAD software, thus generating appropriateCAMdata. This way, METEKO SA performs fully computerized cutting and drilling work with a low probability of error.

The combined usage of the above give us the opportunity to have 4D and 5D modeling providing valuable data to our clients.

Industrialization

METEKO SA is equipped with:

  • CNC machines
  • Closed-circuit furnaces (tunnel) for sandblasting and spraying work
  • A paint shop of 2,500 sqm
  • Fully automated production line for composite beams up to3.2 metersheight consisting of 2 T-master machines connected with cross conveyor

The company runs welding procedures and holds welders certificates from independent certifying bodies such as Moody’s, TÜV and Lloyd’s.

The company maintains an internal quality control department with personnel certified to perform non-destructive tests including ultrasonic tests. Its industrialization capacity reaches up to 750 t/month.

Given the above parameters, METEKO’s reputation over the years has been enhanced by providing quality workmanship with special attention to completing projects on time and within the desirable budget.

Erection

The erection plans and construction sequences are carried out by METEKO SA company crews emphasizing on safety and proper completion of the production process.
