{"id":231,"date":"2012-11-24T13:42:58","date_gmt":"2012-11-24T11:42:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/trademission.kenyagreece.com\/en\/?p=231"},"modified":"2014-05-26T16:02:10","modified_gmt":"2014-05-26T16:02:10","slug":"export-promotion-council","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/trademission.kenyagreece.com\/en2013\/export-promotion-council\/","title":{"rendered":"Export promotion Council"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/trademission.kenyagreece.com\/en2013\/files\/2012\/11\/epc-logo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-232 alignleft\" style=\"margin: 5px\" title=\"Export promotion Council\" src=\"http:\/\/trademission.kenyagreece.com\/en2013\/files\/2012\/11\/epc-logo-300x118.jpg\" alt=\"Export promotion Council\" width=\"210\" height=\"83\" srcset=\"http:\/\/trademission.kenyagreece.com\/en2013\/files\/2012\/11\/epc-logo-300x118.jpg 300w, http:\/\/trademission.kenyagreece.com\/en2013\/files\/2012\/11\/epc-logo.jpg 416w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 210px) 100vw, 210px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The Export promotion Council is Kenya\u2019s Premier Trade Promotion Organisation established on 19th August , 1992\u00a0 with a mandate of promoting exports by assisting exporters and producers of export goods overcome bottlenecks in order to achieve a higher level of export performance, enhance foreign exchange earnings and spur economic growth.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The specific\u00a0 functions of the Council are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>a)<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To establish targets for kenyan exports and encourage exporters to achieve them;<\/p>\n<p><strong>b)\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To review export performance continuosly;<\/p>\n<p><strong>c)\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To attract investment and finance to export sector;<\/p>\n<p><strong>d)\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To identify new markets for kenyan exporters\u00a0 and encourage exports into those markets;<\/p>\n<p><strong>e)\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To promote public awareness of the need for export expansion and;<\/p>\n<p><strong>f)\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0To assist foreign exchange earners with any individual problems facing their operations among others<\/p>\n<p>The Council executes the above mandates through programme activities such as <strong>Export Market Development and Promotion<\/strong>, <strong>Trade Information Delivery<\/strong> and <strong>Business Counselling services<\/strong>, <strong>Research and Trade Policy Facilitation<\/strong>, <strong>Small and Medium Enterprise Development<\/strong>, and acts as a liaison office for the Africa Trade Insuarance (ATI) services.<\/p>\n<p>These trade promotion and other programme activities are implimented in line with Council\u2019s strategic framework and in collaboration with trade support institutions and other smart networks.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;
