Open Letter – Invitation to Hellenic Businesses

 

Dear Hellene Business Persons,
The Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Kenya in the Hellenic Republic, under the active support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs- Hellenic Republic, invites you to participate in the 2nd Hellenic Multi-sector Investment & Trade Mission to Kenya, that will be held in Nairobi from 26 to 27 of November 2014. Co-organizer of this Mission is the Hellenic – Kenyan Chamber of Industry, Commerce, Development, Tourism & Culture.

The 2nd Hellenic Multi-sector Investment & Trade Mission is the natural consequence of the first mission that was successfully held on September 2013 and in which 59 representatives from 49 major Hellenic companies participated and met with respective Kenyan business persons and senior officials representing governmental bodies.

The 2nd Hellenic Multi-sector Investment & Trade Mission is addressed to businesses and organizations from various sectors, enabling them to penetrate and integrate into a new and fast growing market –main entry point for investments in East Africa, and to deploy there stable and sound co-operations.

Kenya is a dynamic market of 43 million consumers. Furthermore, it has a pivotal role in East African Community, a union  similar to the European Union standards(duty free), with a total population of about 140 million people and an annual growth rate reaching 7%.
The country’s long term strategic planning (Kenya Vision 2030) includes the realization of several public and private projects, public-private partnerships as well as public and private investments in sectors of key importance. Kenya offers many opportunities for investments, commerce and joint ventures as it provides an attractive and stable tax framework and working environment, a flexible banking system, immediate approval of investment projects and immediate disbursement of funds.

The 2nd Hellenic Multi Sector Investment & Trade Mission is addressed mainly to businesses from the following sectors:
